WELCOME to Rambling, the bimonthly newsletter of Ruby and Rose Interiors -- an online emporium showcasing classic, country and chic homewares and gifts -- www.rubyandroseinteriors.com.au.

After years of research and dreaming about it night and day, Ruby and Rose Interiors came alive in September -- and has been a resounding success. Thanks go to Rachel, Kirsty, Deidre, Kirsten, Tricia, Linda and Amanda for helping with my website -- and lending an ear when things felt pretty dire! Special thanks go to Holly, who was a very gorgeous "prop" for my advertising photo shoot. The first ad is now appearing in "Australian Country Collections" -- available at all good newsagents. A huge thank you also goes to my darling John for helping take photographs, work out prices -- which is crucial for someone who is numerically challenged -- and for his never-ending patience. To everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way, including some very special suppliers, I thank you all.

A few of you have asked, why Ruby and Rose Interiors? Well, for those of you who know me, it's a typically Gemini answer. I wanted a business name that literally meant something to everyone -- people who are logical immediately think of objects (gemstones, ruby glass and roses) -- people who are visual relate to the colours -- and the romantic at heart conjure up two whimsical ladies called Ruby and Rose. I like to think that the words, and those imagined ladies are a reflection of me and my style, all rolled into one person, very Gemini indeed!

There just isn't enough room to showcase all of my new homeware and gift lines here, but some new items are shown at left -- click on the photo to be taken to that particular item
-- and when you get there you will undoubtedly see other exciting items on those pages. New items are also displayed on my "News" page when they arrive, so make sure you check it frequently.

With Christmas fast approaching you may be interested in viewing my gift lines -- rose-themed jewellery, Emily body products, baby socks in yellow and pink, pottery brooches, mini journals, fabric covered glass cases and some very pretty cupcake soaps. Speaking of which, they've been selling like hot cakes -- pardon the pun -- along with the delectable delicious smelling Christmas pudding soaps. And, with the recent rain we've been having you should really have a look at the poodle umbrella -- it's so divine. I'm also anticipating the arrival of some gorgeous scented candles and pvc-coated tote bags. Hopefully they will be here in time for some last minute Christmas shopping.

Speaking of Christmas -- do something glamourous this year, and adorn your yuletide table with a lovely old depression glass comport filled with sugared decorations -- it will add a touch of romance to your celebrations.

Happy shopping -- don't forget to tell everyone about my online emporium -- and all the very best for Christmas and the new year -- Marie.
